“A ship is safe in harbor, but that’s not what ships are for.” William G.T Shedd

I believe there is a problem with comfort,
Just a little long tingle of over satisfaction,
Just a little long relaxation,
Just a little sense of over accomplishment.

It so very much is little,
Too little to be noticed,
But you know what they say about little things; they matter more,
It rubs you off sensitivity,
It rids you of the awakening to grow.

Comfort, o comfort,
It causes “a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of hands to rest,”
It causes the instrument of growth around you to seem extra,
Comfort.

I just want to be able to feed my family,
I just want to get 60%,
I just, that unjust “just”,
Breeding a mediocre,
It slowly suffocates your ability to exceed.
