ARE YOU HER?

I will guide you and love you, for better or worse, till death do us part. I will overlook all of your minor faults because I have learnt to forgive and let go. I have spent my years building myself to be 1 and not half, so I search day and night for the second 1, the one whom will make my equation “1+1=1” balanced.

Just like you, I have dreams, expectations, and standards. You might not be everything I look forward to physically and that is okay, on that I can compromise but let me introduce you to the girl of my dreams.

Her language love and prayer, she sees the fire I fail to see and holds me back from getting burnt, she pushes me to go over and beyond where I ever imagined myself to be, as she sees within me potentials no one else sees, she holds my family close to her heart irrespective of their faults and laybacks, her love overwhelming they can’t help but fall in line with her vision. Her place is by my side but she stands whole and rooted, submissive yet firm, she is strong and never gives up.
Have you seen her? She is hard to miss, whatever she touches turns into gold, all who come in contact with her feel her impact no matter how minute. She knows when to speak, shout, scream and most importantly when to be silent (because she knows the power of her tongue), her battles are first fought in the spiritual (Ephesians 6:12-13) before she steps into the physical, patience; her stronghold but not without wisdom. She is my proverbs 31 woman, so hard to find her worth is non-negotiable. She is clothed in dignity and strength. Many women do noble things but she surpasses them all.

I will honor her for all that her hands have done and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
