ENEMY OR ALLY | TIME

Hey guys, how are you? I am good 😁. I have so much questions when it comes to the concept of Time. And seeing as I haven’t posted a poem in what feels like forever, decided to do one on Time. Enjoy it

I keep watch of you,

All that is me is in reference to you,

Tic-toc, Tic-toc,

A time to mourn and a time to merry,

Lost in this land with no bearing.

I wonder what a day without you would be like,

Perhaps as hollow as my soul?

Or maybe as blissful as the afterlife,

My ribs hurt from the race against you,

My heels scruff; keeping up with you,

Are you an enemy or an ally?

Do you stay watching your wall of Life’s victories and downfalls?

Do you ‘tic’ faster on certain days?

Or are your ‘toc’s heavy and slow?

So tell me oh time, how do we keep in touch?

At what point do we realign?

Hopefully sometime before my last breath,

Do me the honors of gifting me a day.
