Focus enhances purpose.
I start this year 2019 on a candid note, as I always do. it\’s scary even as I hope someone learns from it.
I was going in the motion for a while in base things such as school, church, food matters, taking pictures when I can, and just moving as if powerless. The only inspiration then was that I woke up that day. Some days appear to be better than others. Sure you get the idea? I try encouraging myself so, I find something to get the juice flowing. Being uninspired, totally blank creatively and relatively numb for someone who operates based on feelings can be paralysing. And this mainly because; I forgot about the picture.
I forgot myself somewhere between the activities of life; laughter and tears. The few things I had left were the projections of the course I was studying and what job I had; the roles I bore and expectations I shouldered. I slowly became everyone’s version of me. This was easier than trying to remember what I looked like in my mind’s eyes.
On the first of January, while most people were glad they made it to 2019, the only question I had on my mind was, “why am I alive?” I have deviated so far from who I wanted to be and yes life happens, but you take control of it with your mental image as your guard, knowing your destination. Me? I had completely forgotten all of that. I was just going with the flow.
It is so easy and, I mean so very easy to think your career or talent or hobby is what makes you. So, who are you or what are you left with when your career is over, or a talent becomes redundant? We live under the shadows of titles and forget that YOU MAKE THE TITLE, not the other way around. So, there is a YOU before anything else. And when we forget this, we run into problems.
I do not claim to have it all figured and suddenly living my best life as the best version of myself, because it is a slow painful journey to self-discovery. Especially in this time when the air is poisoned by self doubt and pretentious living. We are so in a hurry to measure up. Such can make one end up short-changing oneself, or just move with the times.
My point? Be more self-aware, do not leave yourself behind and go with the wind of other people’s tides. Live your life at your own pace, do self-checks. Remind yourself daily that you are first YOU before the titles. Check up on the image you aim at frequently before it gets fogged up and forgotten.
Happy New Year guys!!
STAY SHINING LOVELIES
Are you still on course or did you have to go back to the drawing board at the beginning of this year?

Let me be the first to comment.
"You make the title". This is just a perfect summary of it all.
Live intentionally, but at the same time, live beyond you.
