I am a coin,
My head holds a view of what can be,
A glimpse into what is,Just enough to hide what will be,
My tail civilly designed to give off temperament,
Never enough to be understood,Insufficient for appreciation,
My rim, never given a seconds thought,
Forgetting it binds the head and tail.
I am a coin; each side bearing a variation to the other.
I am a die,
Tossed to show my figures,I, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,
Twice the side of a coin,
Each side holding just a little more than the other,
Some days you hope for my 4,Others my 6 or even my 1,
White with an efficient distribution of blacks,
I am a die.
I am human,
Bestowed with a blank sheet to make mine,
Black or white, head, or tail; mine to design,
So why have three sides? Why have six?
I am your daughter, his son, her sister, their brother, his cousin, her niece, their student, our child,
Blessed with a vast variety of emotions, abilities and understanding,
I am human; more complex than the word itself.
I am ME,
The one you try to force into this box you made,
She should be a square with three sides,
A circle with an end, See, there you miss,
I am a coin with the finesse of a die,Head, tail; I, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,
A human with the artistry of a chameleon,Green, red, brown, black, stripes, dotted, multicolored,
I am not for you to understand,
Not an equation to be solved, I am part of a mystery to be cherished ,
A wonder to relish in,
I am ME, so let be.
