In the end it is not the years in your life that counts. It is the life in your years – Abraham Lincoln.
My journey is nowhere near halfway but still I believe I have come a long way and I have learnt a few things. So am going to share 18 things I learnt in my 18th year.
- Perfection is a matter of angle, what you think of as messy can be perfect and beautiful to another.
- No one really cares about your story, till you make it a tale.
- There is no limit to what you can accomplish, except you decide to think there is.
- It is okay to have speed bumps on the way, they prevent you from going on without taking a good look at the road.
- You are your own source of joy and laughter.
- You have friends for every stage in life, only a few follow through till the end, something goes for you.
- Make sure you add value to people at all times
- Laziness is a lifestyle.
- You are beautiful and special irrespective of your past.
- Know what works for you, but always try something new, that way if it backfires you have nothing to lose.
- Everyone has a special form of artistic outlet.
- Family is everything.
- If you don\’t do it, someone else will do it and possibly be better at it, you are not indispensable no matter how good or wonderful you may be.
- Make your absence felt but do not make a ruler over you.
- Be an inspiration to those around.
- There are many people who do what you do but only you can do it the way you do.
- When you fall, and you will fall, you need to understand that it is what you do after getting back up that is most difficult and crucial.
- Age is actually just a number.
