HEART\’S SYMPHONY

PREAMBLE: Poetry is what happens when nothing else can. Yes, poetry is not your first choice, I know, let\’s hope this keeps you till the end.

What sweet joy you bring, Your kicks cause me to laugh,

The thoughts of soon holding you in my arms ravish me,

Your innocence; impeccable.

The day arrives, Where pain begets joy, The day I have been waiting on,

The day where tears transform to laughter, Oh, what transition?

What beauty it is to behold this day,

Screams, tears, sweat and panic, All gone at the sound of an innocent cry,

Your voice; so strong and soothing, My joy too much to measure.

My life is here, My reason of existence has arrived,

I will now go into the world with singing and dancing,

I have held you now, I can’t let go, I won’t let go.

My breast heavy and ready to feed you,

My mind prepared with lectures to offer you,

My hands strong enough to hold you up,

My very self; ready in battle to face anyone who wants to harm you, Oh no, I have lost my senses!

All of these are beautiful nonsense, Who am I to raise you?

I will prepare you in the finest garment I see,

You shall be set upon an altar, Anointed by the extended hands of the Most High,

Then and only then can I take up such duty.

Oh my beautiful Joy,

You have caused my tongue to tie,

My heart beats rapidly as I am in a cross-fire of emotions,

What name shall the world call you? Who shall they say has arrived?

Who shall I tell my friends my source of Joy is? Oh, You shall be called. . .

What would you suggest the child be called?
