LEARNING TO HIT REFRESH
Have you ever considered the benefits of hitting refresh? The other day I saw someone refresh their system and a light bulb went off in my head! Why do I not have a refresh system? I mean we do the typical breaks and occasional treats (especially after shit hits the fan or a really stressful period) but have you ever considered how cool it would be to learn to hit refresh even when all is good and well?
Well you are in luck as I have built a system that has worked so far (three months to be precise) and would love to share it with you.
Ps. If you missed my last blog post on my 5 tips on how to deal with life’s distractions check it out HERE
When you buy a car, you are advised to service it periodically, not after it breaks down or when it starts giving signs of a malfunction. In the same vain you need to do that for yourself. Check up on yourself frequently
· ARE YOU HAPPY? Happiness is something a lot of people take for granted or underrate. If you are not happy then everything else is a waste. Happiness is a state of mind, it goes beyond the feeling. So, are you happy?
· WHERE ARE YOU? WHERE DO YOU WANT TO BE? AND WHAT IS THE LINK BETWEEN THOSE TWO POINTS? This is a very important question that provokes deep thinking. Most of the time we set out with a destination in mind and after a while lose focus and start heading to an unplanned destination, checking in with yourself is one way to make sure you stay on track, and even when the change in destination is for the best, you also need to be aware of how to get there and why there was a change in direction
· WHAT WOULD MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER? The goal (for me at least) is to live a stress-free life, and so to that end you need to ask yourself what things need to be in place to achieve this goal, answering this question will help you make your life simpler. Most times we are the ones who complicate our lives, so actively finding ways to simplify your life is key.
· WHAT CAN YOU LET GO OF? When your system is full, it becomes slow and frustrates you, it stops acting at top capacity, and so the next line of action would be to delete the thing you do not need anymore. You do a disc clean up. We need to learn to do this for ourselves, let go of activities that are not relevant and free up your time for more productivity, let go of negative thoughts so positivity can breathe. This is a difficult one for me because I want to do it all and the truth is you can’t, so let go of things that aren’t serving you, making you happy, or adding to the value of your life in general.
It is one thing to ask all these questions and have the answers and another thing to utilize the answers adequately. WRITE IT ALL OUT. Have a note pad where you write down these questions and the answers, it allows you have a track record of your progress and prevents you from forgetting. It is always nice to have something to look back on
We all need a system in place, so we do not clog up our lives. Give yourself room to laugh, dance, be merry, go out to the park, take a walk, go see friends, take a long soothing bath, buy yourself a present, eat a piece of cake.
Ife doesn’t have to be so serious all the time, yes you need to work hard, but also you need to reward yourself for said hard work. Make yourself feel special, because YOU ARE SPECIAL.
Take care of yourself, hit refresh so you do not crash.
PS. DO YOU HAVE A REFRESH SYSTEM? IF YES, PLEASE SHARE.
NEVER FORGET YOU ARE AMAZING. STRONG. VALUABLE AND LOVED.
STAY SHINING LOVELIES.

So basically, my day entails sitting in front of a PC and making God level services/ softwares
That are usable .
At some point , it doesn’t go exactly as planned in the mind (I always have a start to finish session before embarking on a project) at times like these, I find it really hard to get up and move around cause I feel I’ll lose my drive.
But recently it’s been made clear through repeated mistakes that, sometimes it’s ok to let go of clutter and shut eyes for 5mins or 55
But the important thing is your productivity is refreshed and not clogged with "I must make this work" our applications of "must" should have limits, we can’t ‘must" a tired mind, that’s where all the trashy ideas in the world come from.
Very true. Learning to rest our minds is also a good form of refreshing ourselves.
Thanks for sharing.
